Our client a leading commercial vehicle dealership based in Midvaal Gauteng specializing in the sales servicing parts supply and support of heavy and extra-heavy commercial vehicles. The company is committed to delivering reliable transport solutions and exceptional customer service supported by experienced technicians and a fully equipped workshop to keep customers fleets operating efficiently requires a Quality Controller.

Purpose Of The Job:

To ensure that all maintenance repair and service work completed in the workshop meets company quality standards manufacturer specifications and safety requirements before vehicles are returned to customers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct final quality inspections on all vehicles before release from the workshop
  • Verify that all repairs and maintenance have been completed according to manufacturer standards and company procedures
  • Perform road tests where required
  • Identify and report workmanship defects recurring faults and quality concerns
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workshop standards
  • Maintain accurate quality control records and inspection reports
  • Liaise with Workshop Foremen Technicians and Service Advisors to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure vehicles are clean roadworthy and fit for customer delivery
Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualified Diesel Technician (Trade Tested)
  • Valid Code 14 Drivers License
  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and heavy commercial vehicles
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Technician in a commercial vehicle workshop environment
  • Experience in quality control and inspection of repair and maintenance work on heavy commercial vehicles
  • Experience working on Extra Heavy Trucks is highly recommended
  • Previous Quality Controller experience in a heavy vehicle or truck workshop
  • Experience with Extra Heavy Trucks
  • Knowledge of manufacturer quality standards and workshop processes
  • Dealership experience essential
  • Motor Industry experience Essential!
