Commercial & Financial Analyst

Are you the person who looks at a set of numbers and immediately starts asking What is this telling us and what should we do differently

Were looking for a highly analytical commercially curious Commercial & Financial Analyst who can turn complex data into meaningful business insight.

This is not a role for someone who simply produces reports. Youll be at the heart of the commercial decision-making process working across the business to uncover trends challenge assumptions understand customer behaviour and help shape smarter decisions around pricing promotions products marketing initiatives and business growth.

The opportunity

Youll become a key analytical partner to senior management and cross-functional teams including Marketing Operations New Product Development and Procurement.

Using financial operational and customer data youll help answer the questions that really matter:

• What is driving sales performance
• Which products and promotions are delivering
• Where are margins being won or lost
• How are customers behaving
• What is the return on commercial initiatives
• Where are the opportunities to improve performance

Youll take the data beyond the dashboard and turn it into actionable recommendations.

What youll be doing

• Analyse business and operational performance across revenue average transaction value units per transaction cost of sales gross profit promotions loyalty delivery and product performance
• Deliver insightful weekly monthly and quarterly reporting with meaningful commentary and recommendations
• Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
• Maintain and develop dashboards within Qlik Sense
• Analyse pricing promotions marketing initiatives new products and new business projects
• Evaluate ROI and conduct post-implementation reviews
• Identify customer trends behaviours and opportunities to improve loyalty and customer experience
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify growth opportunities
• Work closely with business leaders to understand their analytical needs and develop commercially sound solutions
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Continuously improve data collection analysis and reporting methodologies

Youll need:

• A Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics Mathematics or an equivalent relevant qualification
• 5 years relevant experience
• Experience within FMCG or QSR
• Strong commercial and financial analytical experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Qlik Sense experience
• Strong statistical and data analysis capability
• A solid understanding of consumer behaviour and commercial performance
• The ability to translate data into clear practical business recommendations

More importantly were looking for someone who is naturally curious.

Someone who questions the numbers rather than simply reporting them. A problem solver who enjoys finding patterns challenging assumptions and figuring out why something happened and what the business should do about it.

Youll need to be comfortable working across different departments influencing stakeholders and presenting your thinking with confidence.
