Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats vulnerabilities and suspicious activity
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls across Azure AWS and/or GCP
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify improvement opportunities
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate incident response activities
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies standards and best practices
- Manage identity and access controls (IAM RBAC MFA PAM)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking
- Support compliance initiatives aligned with frameworks such as ISO27001 SOC2 PCI-DSS and POPIA
- Collaborate with infrastructure DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into cloud operations
- Create security reports dashboards and recommendations for stakeholders
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Cyber Security Cloud Security or Information Security roles
- Hands-on experience with Azure Security Center Microsoft Defender Sentinel AWS Security Hub GuardDuty or equivalent tools
- Strong understanding of IAM Zero Trust principles network security and encryption technologies
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud Platforms
- Knowledge of SIEM SOAR EDR and threat detection methodologies
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and security assessment tools
- Understanding of cloud networking firewalls VPNs and security architecture
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards
- Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell Python or Bash is advantageou
