Cloud Engineer (Azure Databricks) (Senior)

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design implement and support secure scalable cloud infrastructure within an enterprise data environment. This opportunity is ideal for a senior cloud professional with strong Azure and Databricks expertise who enjoys building cloud-native platforms that enable advanced analytics and data product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design deploy and manage Azure cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise data platforms.
• Build and maintain Azure landing zones networking identity and core cloud services.
• Implement and optimise Azure Databricks environments for data engineering workloads.
• Support cloud security governance and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineers to ensure reliable cloud deployments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and improve platform availability.
• Contribute to cloud architecture automation and operational best practices.
• Produce technical documentation and support operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field.
• 10 years experience in cloud infrastructure or cloud engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Proven experience administering Azure Databricks environments.
• Experience with cloud networking security storage and identity management.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation tools.
• Excellent analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.

Advantageous

• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience with Terraform Bicep or ARM templates.
• Knowledge of enterprise data platforms and analytics environments.
• Experience within large-scale enterprise or consulting environments.
