Job Summary

Thusa Batho Labour Solutions is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our database for an ad hoc Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) assignment based in Knysna Western Cape.

The successful candidate will provide confidential psychological support and counselling services to employees including trauma debriefing crisis intervention stress management and workplace wellness interventions. The role requires a compassionate ethical professional who can deliver high-quality psychological services while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual psychological counselling and support.
  • Conduct trauma debriefing and crisis intervention sessions.
  • Perform psychological assessments where required.
  • Promote employee mental health and wellbeing.
  • Prepare professional reports and maintain accurate client records.
  • Adhere to HPCSA ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.
  • Submit reports within agreed turnaround times.


Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and/or the Psychological Society of South Africa (PsySSA)
  • Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) counselling trauma management and employee wellness.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to provide face-to-face services in Knysna and surrounding areas.
  • Proficiency in English is essential. Knowledge of Afrikaans and/or isiXhosa will be advantageous.
  • Valid drivers licence and reliable transport.

  • Recently certified copy of South African ID or Passport (certified within the last three months).
  • Recently certified copies of all relevant qualifications including the Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Current HPCSA and/or PsySSA registration certificate.
