About the Role
Were seeking a Pet Claims Consultant to join our Claims this customer-facing role youll work directly with pet owners veterinarians and stakeholders to ensure claims are processed accurately efficiently and with compassion. From lodgement to closure youll be part of a team that makes a real difference for people and their pets when they need it most.

• Assessing processing and managing pet insurance claims in line with policies and guidelines
• Reviewing veterinary reports and invoices to determine eligibility and coverage
• Communicating empathetically with pet owners keeping them informed and supported throughout the claims process
• Liaising with veterinarians and clinics to gather essential information
• Identifying and reporting potential fraudulent activity
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with policies procedures and regulations
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims team

About you

• Experience in insurance claims or financial services
• Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology procedures and diagnoses
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to show empathy and build rapport
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Previous customer service experience
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
• Confidence using data entry systems and office applications
• Negotiation and investigative skills particularly with customers and service providers
