Job Summary
Location: Ogies Mpumalanga
Contract duration: 12 months
ProjectLink is looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer for a 12-month assignment on a mining project in Ogies.
The role requires someone with strong civil construction experience who can work effectively across engineering construction and project teams. You should be comfortable working on-site engaging with contractors and stakeholders and addressing issues that may affect safety quality cost or schedule.
- Provide civil engineering support and oversight during construction
- Monitor work against approved drawings specifications and project requirements
- Coordinate with contractors consultants and other project stakeholders
- Identify and address technical issues construction risks and potential delays
- Monitor construction quality and compliance
- Support progress reporting and the close-out of actions
- Contribute to the safe and timely delivery of the project
- BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering
- Between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in mining industrial or EPCM projects
- Experience in the construction management or execution of large capital projects
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer would be advantageous
Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:
- Open-pit or underground mining projects
- Coal mining or mineral processing facilities
- EPCM EPC or integrated project environments
- Mine-expansion projects
- Brownfield and greenfield projects
