Civil Engineer Water

Our client is seeking a professionally registered Civil Engineer to join their Pretoria team and take a leading role in the delivery of major water infrastructure projects. This opportunity is suited to an experienced water engineer with strong technical expertise project leadership capabilities and a proven record in complex civil engineering design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies conceptual designs detailed designs and implementation of bulk water infrastructure projects.
• Deliver engineering solutions for pipelines pump stations reservoirs intake structures and water resource systems.
• Perform advanced hydraulic modelling and transient/surge analyses.
• Prepare and lead technical proposals and tender submissions for complex water projects.
• Manage engineering deliverables in line with client requirements and project objectives.
• Identify and mitigate HSE risks throughout design and construction.
• Drive design optimisation to improve cost efficiency material utilisation and project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership supervision and mentorship to junior engineers technicians and draughtsmen.

Requirements

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a PrEng is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate civil engineering experience within the water sector.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• KY Pipe experience will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards codes of practice and quality assurance.
• Excellent project management communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Strong commitment to HSE compliance and continuous improvement.
