Chief Mechanical Engineer vacancy in Centurion to lead technical excellence in the RF/Structural Mechanical Engineering discipline. Must have a Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering and 10 years of proven leadership recognised expertise in structural mechanics and familiarity with defence/aerospace standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Chief Engineer: Mechanical

Centurion

Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10 years of relevant engineering experience with proven technical leadership
Recognised subject matter expert in a particular discipline e.g. electromagnetic simulation structural mechanics or embedded systems
Strong familiarity with defence and aerospace standards (MIL-STD STANAG IEC ISO)
Strong track record in novel product design and application of advanced technical solutions to real-world problems.

Computer Literacy:

MS Office (Proficient)
MATLAB / Python / FEKO / HFSS / CST / Similar simulation and analysis tools (Beneficial)

Responsibilities:

Solves complex challenges with creativity strategic insight and innovative thinking.
Lead the design and development of complex technical systems ensuring that solutions are manufacturable cost-effective and meet customer requirements.
Conduct simulations analyses and testing to validate performance and compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Implement and maintain tools methods and metrics to monitor technical progress.
Mentorship and growth of engineers and technicians.
