Cashbook Clerk

Responsibilities

• Daily Cashbook Management
• Bank statements Reconciliation
• Allocation of direct payments to debtors
• Allocation of EFT payments from Cash customers
• Logging calls with FNB for unidentified deposit
• Logging calls with the FNB for outstanding deposits
• Following up with the FNB or Cash connect shortages/surpluses on Bank Statement
• Assisting with Audit and Compliance on Bank recon
• Maintain proper filing system for all the documentations
• Fuel log Recon when truck fuel cards are not working
• Processing and receipting of POs
• Support bookkeeper with preparation of Bread& Returns reconciliation
• Ad hoc duties requested by management

Key Attributes and Competencies

• Knowledge of financial processes and bank reconciliations
• Familiarity with financial computer systems and software such as Mozaic and MS Office
• Innovative self-driven and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Good verbal and written communication skills ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong numeric skills and high accuracy in data entry
• Ability to work as a team player

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matric and Accounting qualification
• 2 to 3 years experience working in finance will be an added advantage
• Computer literate and proficient in MS office (word and excel)
