Duties:
- Developing and maintaining BI solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Power BI and other tools.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver impactful insights.
- Supporting troubleshooting and maintaining existing BI systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Designing and optimizing SQL queries views and stored procedures for seamless data extraction transformation and loading.
- Documenting BI processes data models and reports for future reference.
- Participating in the full software development life cycle including analysis design development testing and deployment.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- MS BI certification (advantageous).
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years proven experience as a BI Developer.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Power BI and data modelling.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Experience with ETL processes and cloud technologies is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to develop complex queries views and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with other BI tools and technologies.
- PHP & MySQL knowledge is a plus.
- Exceptional communication problem-solving and time management skills.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
- Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
