An established business coaching and consulting organisation is seeking an energetic outgoing and commercially driven Business Development Consultant to join its team in Johannesburg.

This role is ideal for a confident relationship-builder with strong networking abilities excellent communication skills and a natural flair for sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating qualified business meetings developing relationships with prospective clients and converting opportunities into coaching and consulting engagements.

• Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through networking prospecting and relationship building.
• Secure qualified meetings with business owners decision-makers and prospective clients.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients.
• Build and nurture professional relationships to generate referrals and repeat business.
• Present business coaching and consulting solutions to prospective clients.
• Convert qualified leads into group coaching and one-on-one coaching engagements.
• Follow up consistently with prospective clients to progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.
• Leverage existing professional networks and business contacts to identify new opportunities.
• Meet agreed sales meeting-generation and client-conversion targets.
• Maintain accurate records of leads meetings follow-ups and sales activities.

• Proven experience in sales business development client acquisition or relationship management.
• Experience in media sales advertising sales professional services or a similar client-facing sales environment would be advantageous.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage business owners and senior decision-makers.
• Excellent verbal communication presentation and negotiation skills.
• A proactive energetic and outgoing personality.
• A commercially minded approach with a strong focus on results and earning potential.
• The ability to work independently manage a sales pipeline and consistently follow up on opportunities.
• Existing business contacts and a professional network would be a significant advantage.

The package includes a basic salary with the opportunity to earn additional income through performance-based incentives:

• Basic salary: R10000 R15000 per month depending on experience and suitability.
• Qualified meetings: R200 per qualified meeting.
• Group coaching client conversion: R3000 per successful conversion.
• One-on-one coaching client conversion: R7000 per successful conversion.
