Business Analyst

About the Role

IgniteByte Digital is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support our clients website and digital platform redevelopment project.

The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders UX/UI development and QA teams translating business needs into clear actionable requirements for delivery.

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and requirements-gathering workshops
  
• Analyse and document business requirements
  
• Define detailed functional and technical requirements
  
• Develop user stories and acceptance criteria for Agile development teams
  
• Support the development of the sitemap and information architecture
  
• Document business processes workflows and system interactions
  
• Identify business functional and integration dependencies
  
• Work closely with UX/UI designers and development teams
  
• Collaborate with QA teams on test scenarios and UAT
  
• Support UAT planning execution and defect clarification
  
• Validate requirements against delivered functionality
  
• Facilitate stakeholder reviews and requirement sign-offs
  
• Maintain requirements and project documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle
  

• Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst on website CMS digital platform or software projects
  
• Strong requirements-gathering and analysis skills
  
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  
• Strong documentation and technical-writing abilities
  
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
  
• Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
  
• Experience using Miro FigJam or similar workshop tools
  
• Knowledge of BPMN and business process modelling
  
• Basic SQL and data knowledge
  
• Understanding of website architecture CMS functionality and API integrations
  
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility requirements
  
• Understanding of POPIA and data-protection considerations
  
• Experience supporting UAT and QA processes
  

Jira Confluence Miro FigJam BPMN SQL Agile/Scrum CMS APIs UAT

• CBAP ECBA or equivalent Business Analysis certification
  
• Experience with Umbraco October CMS or other enterprise CMS platforms
  
• Experience with headless CMS solutions
  
• Website redevelopment or digital transformation experience
  
• Experience with information architecture and content modelling
  
• Experience working with UX/UI teams
  
• Experience in government or regulated-sector digital platforms
  
• Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations
  

Essential:

Diploma or Degree in Business Analysis Information Technology Computer Science Business Management or a related field.

Advantageous:

CBAP ECBA or equivalent Business Analysis certification.

We are looking for a structured analytical and highly collaborative Business Analyst who can understand complex stakeholder requirements and translate them into practical specifications that development and QA teams can execute.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across business UX technology and delivery teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
