Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join the culinary team at a luxury hotel in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation

Ensure consistency in food preparation timing and service delivery

Assist with menu planning and recipe development for breakfast offerings

Maintain strict hygiene health and safety standards within the kitchen

Support stock control ordering and stock rotation procedures to minimise wastage

Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations throughout service

Manage guest dietary requirements and special requests professionally

Maintain cleanliness and organisation within all kitchen areas

Requirements

Certificate or Diploma in Professional Cookery

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment

Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail

Good understanding of kitchen operations stock control and food costing

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Valid drivers licence and own vehicle essential

Passion for culinary excellence and continuous professional development
