Job Summary

- Take ownership of the full bookkeeping function across multiple entities ensuring accurate financial records up to trial balance.
- Process day-to-day financial transactions including journals cashbooks supplier invoices customer accounts and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts debtors creditors and balance sheet accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes ensuring timely collections and supplier payments.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory submissions through SARS eFiling.
- Administer the monthly payroll process including employee payslips and payroll-related compliance.
- Handle payroll taxes and statutory obligations including PAYE UIF SDL and related submissions.
- Assist with month-end procedures and prepare management accounts for review by the finance team.
- Support the ongoing improvement of financial processes controls and reporting within a growing business environment.
- Proven experience in a full-function bookkeeping role with responsibility through to trial balance.
- Solid working knowledge of SARS eFiling including VAT and payroll-related submissions.
- Experience processing payroll using Sage/Pastel Payroll or a similar payroll platform.
- Strong reconciliation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing a high-volume debtor environment and maintaining accurate customer accounts.
- Well-organized dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive solutions-focused approach.
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification or studies towards a finance-related degree.
- Previous experience within a retail wholesale or credit-driven business environment.
- Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans.

Required Skills:
