Job Summary

BOOKKEEPER DURBAN SOUTH (Umkomaas Area)

A well-established manufacturing company based in the Durban South area is seeking to employ an experienced and professional Bookkeeper to join their team.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years proven experience in a bookkeeper position.
Relevant qualification in Accounting Finance Bookkeeping or equivalent.
Must be a registered or professional Accountant/Bookkeeper.
Experience within a manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
Clear criminal record.
Reliable honest and trustworthy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Bank reconciliations and cashbook management.
Prepare and process journals.
Reconcile creditor and debtor accounts.
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with management accounts.
VAT calculations and submissions.
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
Assist with payroll-related functions where required.
Perform all other duties associated with the bookkeeping function.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
