Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Bank Teller at our Durban branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking operations and a passion for providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Process customer transactions such as deposits withdrawals and payments accurately and efficiently - Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about banking products and services - Identify and recommend banking solutions to customers based on their financial needs - Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to customers - Maintain and balance cash drawers and ensure accurate record-keeping of transactions - Adhere to all security and compliance procedures to protect bank assets and customer information - Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and efficient work environment - Continuously update knowledge of banking products services and procedures to provide accurate information to customers - Handle and resolve customer complaints and escalate issues to management as needed - Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; degree in finance accounting or related field is a plus - Prior experience in a banking or customer service role is preferred - Strong mathematical and computer skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and transactions - Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance procedures - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Contract Details: This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The working hours are Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
