Job Summary
A leading organisation within the IT & Internet sector is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join its Development and Engineering team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of strategic solutions while contributing to technical direction best-practice development and the growth of other developers.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Provide technical leadership in the delivery of products and software solutions.
- Contribute to solution architecture and technical implementation decisions.
- Develop maintain and enhance existing systems while supporting the adoption of new technologies.
- Deliver strategic development projects within agreed timelines budgets and quality standards.
- Design and implement robust scalable back-end solutions.
- Work closely with developers technical leads managers and architects.
- Mentor and coach Junior Developers encouraging knowledge sharing and technical growth.
- Promote and maintain strong software development standards and best practices.
- Participate in testing quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document systems and technical enhancements to support effective knowledge sharing.
- Work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
What Youll Need:
- Degree or Diploma in an IT-related field.
- 46 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong commercial experience with C#.
- Experience working within Scrum/Agile environments.
- Experience with SQL Server including relational database design and complex SQL queries.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices and source-code configuration management.
- Experience with development principles such as SOLID KISS TDD DDD and Clean Coding.
- A strong focus on quality attention to detail and sustainable development practices.
Advantageous Experience:
- .NET Core
- WCF
- Web API
- Azure DevOps / TFS / Git
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Message-queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ Apache ActiveMQ and Apache Kafka
- Multi-threaded and parallel development
- Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification
