This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled automotive professional who takes pride in their workmanship and has the technical ability to work on high-end and performance vehicles. The workshop specialises in vehicles for private clients and is known for working on some of the most prestigious and specialist vehicles in the market including Ferrari McLaren Aston Martin and Porsche.
Role of the Automotive Stripper & Assembler
The successful candidate will be responsible for the careful dismantling and reassembly of vehicles before and after panel beating and refinishing. The role requires excellent mechanical aptitude knowledge of vehicle construction and assembly and an exceptional eye for detail.
You will be trusted with valuable specialist vehicles so care precision and pride in workmanship are essential.

- Carefully strip and dismantle vehicles prior to panel beating and refinishing.
- Remove and refit body panels interior trim seats carpets roof linings doors and related components.
- Remove and reinstall mechanical and electrical components without causing damage.
- Safely label store and account for all removed parts fittings clips and hardware.
- Identify and report additional or hidden damage discovered during the stripping process.
- Reassemble vehicles following completion of body and paint repairs.
- Ensure correct alignment fitment and finish of all components.
- Refit and test lights locks windows trim Park Assist sensors and other vehicle systems.
- Work carefully with modern automotive electronics wiring harnesses and vehicle accessories.
- Conduct operational and quality checks to ensure components are functioning correctly.
- Complete final inspections and identify any outstanding work before vehicle delivery.
- Follow workshop procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Maintain a clean safe and organised work area.
- Work effectively with panel beaters technicians painters and other workshop personnel.
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining the highest level of care and attention to detail.
- 35 years hands-on experience as a Stripper & Assembler within a panel shop body repair centre or automotive workshop.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical automotive knowledge.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle construction assembly and component fitment.
- Strong knowledge of clips fasteners fittings and correct refitting procedures.
- Experience stripping and assembling vehicles across different makes and models.
- Experience with modern automotive electronics sensors wiring and electrical components.
- Luxury premium or performance vehicle experience will be highly advantageous.
- Experience with brands such as Ferrari McLaren Aston Martin Porsche BMW Mercedes-Benz Land Rover or similar will be advantageous.
- Ability to work carefully without damaging expensive or specialist vehicle components.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to follow technical instructions job cards and workshop procedures.
- Reliable responsible and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a specialist workshop team.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Formal automotive qualifications will be advantageous but are not essential where strong practical experience can be demonstrated.
