Job Summary

Assist the Auto-Electrician with electrical mechanical and hydraulic maintenance activities on mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with electrical and mechanical repairs.

Assist with greasing and fluid sampling.

Assist with filter servicing and general maintenance.

Support servicing and inspection activities.

Assist with job-card administration.

Maintain safe and clean work areas.

Requirements

Millwright Aid Certificate.

Basic hydraulics and mechanical assembly knowledge.

Relevant mining/heavy-equipment experience advantageous.

Good practical and technical skills.

Required Skills:

Assist auto-electricians with inspection maintenance and repair of vehicle electrical systems. Help maintain electrical components on mining vehicles and heavy equipment. Identify and report damaged wiring faulty lights batteries and electrical connections. Use basic hand tools and electrical testing equipment under supervision. Assist with battery maintenance wiring repairs and component replacement. Follow technical instructions and maintenance procedures. Apply mine safety rules electrical safety procedures and PPE requirements. Maintain clean and organised tools and work areas. Demonstrate teamwork reliability and willingness to learn.

Required Education:

Grade 10 or Grade 12; Grade 12 is knowledge of vehicle electrical systems is experience assisting an auto-electrician or working with heavy mining equipment is automotive electrical training or certificates are complete required mine induction and safety training.
