Asset Management Senior Business Intelligence Manager

Role is based at the V&A Waterfront Cape Town

To use analytical techniques to understand the economics of a business area; to interpret business results and to recommend innovative solutions or strategies that would improve business results.

• Deliver service to meet Nedbank internal clients requirements to enable all levels of management to spot opportunities and detect any problems early.
• Provide recommendations based on insights to different levels of management within Nedbank.
• Ensure transformational target are met.
• Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives business strategy and CSI. Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise ensuring personal and professional growth.
• Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values leading by example.
• Ensure issues raised in culture survey are addressed and results are improved.
• Deliver a world-class service through others by ensuring a client centric culture.
• Identify areas of resource inefficiencies and promote optimization.
• Optimize efficiency and embed correct values.
• Manage performance of reports and hold them accountable for managing the performance of their reports by implementing performance agreement and ensuring a clear vision.
• Identify relevant development needs.
• Maintain a high performing team by identifying a talent pool through conducting career conversations and using the talent grid principles and developing talent retention program.
• Build depth of skills and knowledge in the team of managers by sharing knowledge and insights.
• Ensure continuous improvement goals are achieved by creating an environment whereby self managers and team are encouraged to challenge the status quo by initiating constructive debates about work practices.
• Support financial community by providing MIS to achieve targets.
• Ensure the data stewardship principles are applied in the organisation.

For this role candidates should demonstrate:

• A high standard of personal presentation.
• Strong self-motivation and organisational capability with the ability to adapt to and manage a broad range of challenges.
• The ability to interact effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients.

• Analytical Degree with Finance and Business knowledge

• CDMP certification advantageous (or similar language)

• 5 years experience in a management role in MIS or Business Intelligence.
• Asset Management / Collective Investment experience advantageous
