Artisan Assistant (Permanent)

Job Description

Primary purpose of the job

Assist with repairs and maintenance on press machinery to ensure customer and company quality standards are met.

Key Performance Areas

Assist with repair and maintain press machinery to ensure customer and company quality standards are met.

Assist with and do preventative maintenance as per maintenance schedule and according to job cards and relevant work instruction.

Compile feedback on time sheets to ensure accurate repair data and forward to the Team Leader.

Ensure that company procedures work instructions and quality systems are adhered to at all times.

Participate actively in the departmental mini business as per company requirement.

Ensure that work practises comply with the company SHEQ procedures and work instructions.

Technical techniques

Press machinery repair and maintenance

Manufacturing processes

Basic understanding of quality systems

Basic Welding

Communication

Problem solving

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12

Minimum of 2 years experience as Fitter assistant within an automotive environment
