API Developer (Senior)

Our client is seeking an experienced API Developer to design and build secure high-performing APIs that power enterprise data products and digital platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain secure RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Build APIs exposing enterprise insights analytical datasets scores and data products.
• Implement authentication authorisation rate limiting and API security controls.
• Optimise API performance scalability and reliability.
• Develop integration solutions for internal and third-party platforms.
• Collaborate with architects software engineers and data engineering teams.
• Produce technical documentation and API specifications.
• Support API monitoring testing and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
• 10 years software development experience.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in C# Java Python or similar technologies.
• Experience with API gateways authentication protocols and cloud services.
• Strong understanding of integration architecture and secure development practices.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Advantageous

• Experience with Azure API Management or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Experience within enterprise integration environments.
• Cloud certifications.
