Account Support Specialist

Job Summary
- Participate in weekly customer meetings.
- Support Sales Managers in the efficient delivery of customer programmes and sales activities.
- Act as a customer contact point when Sales Managers are unavailable.
- Maintain accurate customer information within the CRM system and ensure annual reviews are completed.
- Request expected payment dates from customers and follow up on outstanding account sales.
- Proactively obtain customer purchase orders in line with programme requirements and sales confirmations.
- Request and manage collection references for rejections and reconcile returned quantities against system records.
- Gather and consolidate market intelligence including insights on new varieties trends opportunities and potential risks.
- Maintain and distribute weekly customer updates product availability reports and programme trackers.
- Monitor Supply & Demand forecasts to ensure alignment with customer programmes and recent updates.
- Ensure all sales orders contain valid customer purchase orders.
- Monitor overdue invoices and identify delays caused by late arrivals notifying the Sales team accordingly.
- Submit stock reallocation requests to Sales Coordinators when instructed.
- Process and finalise approved account sales and claims transactions.
- Maintain weekly pricing schedules ensuring accurate cost-to-serve information.
- Identify order delays that could impact pricing and proactively escalate concerns.
- Assist in preparing market reports sales reports operational reports and weekly business updates.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Follow up on actions arising from team meetings and ensure accountability.
- Maintain up-to-date customer documentation including: Terms & Conditions Credit Limit Approvals KYC Documentation
- BCom Degree with a major in Marketing Logistics International Trade or a related field; alternatively a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in a sales support customer service account management administration or related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of CRM systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite advantageous.
- Strong email communication and business correspondence skills.
- Product knowledge or exposure to customer programmes will be beneficial.

Required Education:
