Account Handlers
Job Summary
Our client a licensed short-term insurance provider is looking for enthusiastic and target-driven Account Handlers to join their Motor division call centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level candidate to build a career in insurance sales working within a supportive environment that provides full training and clear paths for growth. The successful candidates will be responsible for generating motor insurance leads building relationships with business partners and converting leads into finalised policies.
- Initiate contact with business partners and representatives (including cold calling and pre-qualified leads) to generate motor insurance leads
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners to ensure a consistent flow of quality leads
- Address and resolve relationship issues that may cause a decline in lead volumes
- Represent the brand professionally to expand its presence within the motor industry
- Monitor and assist in addressing lead quality issues to support conversion targets
- Capture all leads accurately on the internal system (Softsure) sourced from email WhatsApp and telephone
- Provide timeous feedback to partners on the status of leads to ensure smooth service delivery
- Assist the sales team with client information required to quote on generated leads
- Call quote and finalise contractual insurance agreements with clients
- Upsell relevant and essential insurance products to clients
- Follow up with partners Client Care and Retentions regarding policy cancellations to protect business quality
- Monitor and manage referral fee payments to partners liaising with relevant internal departments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date partner contact payment and tax information for compliance purposes
- Track and report on partner performance as required
Our client offers a basic salary of R5500 R7000 per month (the higher rate applicable to candidates holding a valid fit-and-proper RE5 qualification and/or a relevant degree) plus a monthly restraint allowance of R500 and uncapped monthly commission on products sold (paid in arrears).

Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:0017:00 (rostered to 18:00 when required) plus every second Saturday from 08:3012:30. Includes a 1-hour lunch break and tea breaks.
