Most of our clients are business owners not marketing managers or committees. They are spending their own money and want clear answers about what we are doing why we are doing it and whether it is working.

About the Role
This role is designed for someone with one to two years of digital marketing or agency experience who is ready to take the next step towards becoming an Account Manager.
You will begin by supporting our SEO team with client communication task coordination reporting and campaign administration. As your knowledge and confidence grow you will gradually take responsibility for a small portfolio of clients.

Over your first 6 to 12 months we will train you to:
  • Understand what each client wants to achieve
  • Turn client requests into clear tasks for our delivery team
  • Explain SEO Google Ads and website work in plain language
  • Prepare and present monthly reports
  • Join and contribute to client meetings
  • Eventually run client meetings independently
  • Take ownership of a small client portfolio

We will introduce you to clients include you in meetings and give you support from experienced senior
SEOs and our SEO Director. and nbsp;
When you are ready you will begin leading meetings and managing client relationships one-on-one.
The goal is for the right person to grow into a confident Digital Marketing Account Manager.
SEO is the largest part of what we do. Google Ads and web design are also important parts of the role.

Your Day Realistically
Open Slack Zulip (message platform) and respond to client messages promptly. Nothing important should sit unanswered for a day.
Turn client requests and meeting notes into properly briefed tasks for our team.
Check the progress of active work follow up on overdue tasks and ask for help when something is blocked.
Keep clients informed when work is completed instead of making them wait for the monthly report.
Help prepare meeting agendas reports and campaign updates.
Join client meetings take accurate notes and send clear recaps within 24 hours.
Assign and track every action promised during a meeting.
Review completed work to make sure it matches the original client request.
Learn when you can make a decision yourself and when something should be escalated.
As you develop you will begin speaking more during meetings presenting sections of reports and eventually running meetings independently.
If you commit something to a client you are responsible for following it through until it is completed. You will have support but you should not assume that someone else is tracking it.

What You Will Learn to Own
Day-to-day client communication across SEO Google Ads and web design
Coordinating tasks between clients SEO specialists developers designer and content manager
SEO campaign support including keyword research competitor research content recommendations local SEO and Google Business Profile
Basic technical and on-page SEO checks
Google Ads reporting including spend conversions cost per acquisition and possible wasted budget
Web design and development coordination
Protecting rankings analytics and conversion tracking during website changes
Monthly reports focused on leads revenue conversions and business outcomes
AI search visibility including AI Overviews ChatGPT and nbsp;
Account health overdue work client concerns and growth opportunities
At first you will support these responsibilities under guidance. Over time you will take greater ownership based on your ability and progress.

You Must Have
One to two years of experience in SEO digital marketing account coordination or a similar role
Some experience communicating with clients or external stakeholders
A good foundational understanding of SEO including technical on-page off-page or local SEO
Basic familiarity with Google Ads and an interest in developing stronger paid advertising skills
Experience using Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
Familiarity with Semrush Ahrefs or similar SEO tools
Experience using WordPress
Enough web knowledge to communicate clearly with designers and developers
Basic familiarity with Figma or a willingness to learn
Regular use of ChatGPT or similar AI tools with the judgement to check important information and nbsp;
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong organisation and the ability to track multiple clients tasks and deadlines
The confidence to ask questions when you are uncertain
The ability to explain a marketing topic in clear language without unnecessary jargon

You do not need to be an expert in every channel. We are looking for someone with solid foundations strong communication skills and the ambition to become an Account Manager.

Months 1 to 3

  • Learn our clients services systems and processes
  • Support client communication and task coordination
  • Attend meetings and prepare notes and follow-up actions
  • You handle reporting and campaign administration

Months 3 to 6

  • Take greater responsibility for day-to-day client communication
  • Present parts of reports and campaign updates during meetings
  • Coordinate smaller projects with less supervision
  • Begin making routine account decisions independently

Months 6 to 12

  • Begin leading selected client meetings
  • Take ownership of a small portfolio of clients
  • Prepare and present reports independently
  • Manage client expectations and campaign priorities
  • Progress towards a Digital Marketing Account Manager position

This timeline is a guide. Progress will depend on your experience performance and confidence.
You will not be pushed into independent client meetings before you are properly prepared.

The ability to overlap with Perth hours (AWST) for team and client meetings
