Youth & Young Adult Pastor

A well-established Christian church in Singapore is seeking a Youth & Young Adult Pastor to provide pastoral leadership spiritual formation and discipleship for its youth and young adult community.

The church is looking for someone who is theologically grounded pastorally mature and relational with a genuine heart for walking alongside young people as they grow in faith navigate life and discover their calling.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of formal theological training pastoral experience and practical experience in counselling emotional healing and prayer ministry.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide pastoral care spiritual guidance and discipleship for youth and young adults

* Develop and nurture a healthy welcoming community where young people can build authentic relationships and grow in faith

* Teach and preach the Bible in a way that is biblically sound relevant and engaging for younger generations

* Mentor and develop youth and young adult leaders helping them grow in confidence spiritual maturity and leadership

* Facilitate small groups Bible studies prayer gatherings worship and other spiritual formation activities

* Provide pastoral counselling and appropriate support to young people navigating personal relational emotional and spiritual challenges

* Bring experience and sensitivity in areas of healing inner restoration and prayer ministry while maintaining appropriate pastoral and professional boundaries

* Work collaboratively with church leadership parents ministry leaders and volunteers

* Encourage young people to discover their gifts calling and place within the wider church

* Help create a sustainable ministry structure that encourages both participation and ownership among the youth and young adults

Ideal Profile

The successful candidate would ideally have:

* Formal theological or ministry training from a recognised theological institution

* Several years of experience in pastoral ministry youth ministry or young adult ministry

* Demonstrated experience working with young people and developing emerging leaders

* Training or practical experience in pastoral counselling healing ministry inner healing prayer ministry or related areas

* Strong biblical foundations and a commitment to Christ-centred ministry

* A relational and approachable personality with the ability to listen well and build trust

* Emotional maturity and pastoral sensitivity particularly when working with young people facing personal or family challenges

* The ability to balance spiritual depth with an understanding of the realities facing today's youth and young adults

* Good communication and teaching skills

* The ability to work collaboratively within an established church environment

Ministry Approach

The church is particularly interested in someone who sees youth ministry as more than running programmes.

The role is about walking with young people creating space for them to encounter God helping them process life and faith and raising the next generation of Christian leaders.

The ideal pastor will be someone who can listen before leading disciple rather than simply direct and build a culture where young people feel known supported and spiritually challenged.

Experience working within a multicultural Singapore church environment would be an advantage.
