Job Summary
Job Overview
Responsible for providing technical support to customers service engineers dealers and internal teams. The role involves troubleshooting equipment supporting inspections and maintenance activities managing technical documentation and ensuring quality service delivery while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide first-line technical assistance for products equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex cases when necessary.
- Support maintenance repair and service-related enquiries.
- Assist with vessel visits site inspections equipment testing commissioning and technical support activities.
Technical Documentation
- Maintain and update technical manuals service records work instructions and documentation.
- Prepare technical reports and maintenance records.
- Communicate technical updates and service information to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record management.
Workshop & Equipment Support
- Assist with inspection testing repair and maintenance of equipment and spare parts.
- Support calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Ensure tools equipment and workshop areas are maintained safely and efficiently.
Customer & Service Coordination
- Respond to customer and dealer technical enquiries promptly.
- Coordinate with service teams to ensure smooth service execution.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues when required.
Quality Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company procedures quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support ISO quality and safety management systems.
- Follow workplace safety practices and report quality or safety concerns.
- Perform additional duties and technical projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Higher NITEC in Marine Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics Telecommunications or a related discipline.
- Minimum 23 years of experience in technical support marine electronics communications navigation systems or related technical fields.
- Marine or offshore industry experience is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of marine communication navigation connectivity or electronic systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong troubleshooting communication documentation and problem-solving skills.
