Main purpose of the role:

  • Provide legal advice on a broad range of insurance-related matters including regulatory commercial and operational issues.

  • Review draft and negotiate insurance-related agreements and documentation.

  • Support business stakeholders on strategic initiatives and day-to-day legal queries.

  • Advise on regulatory developments and their impact on the insurance business.

  • Assist with post-acquisition integration activities including legal entity governance policy and process harmonization (where applicable).

  • Collaborate with legal compliance risk and business teams across the organization.

Person specification:

  • Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience.

  • Strong experience within the insurance sector either in private practice or in-house.

  • Solid understanding of insurance regulatory and commercial matters.

  • Experience advising insurers reinsurers or insurance intermediaries.

  • Prior exposure to post-M&A integration business transformation or restructuring projects is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong drafting negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
