RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on sophisticated scientific instruments and laboratory equipment collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize mechanical systems and components.

  • Drive product innovation while ensuring manufacturability reliability and compliance with quality standards.

  • Opportunities to work on challenging technical problems from concept through production utilizing advanced CAD tools and engineering principles to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree plus 5 years of mechanical design experience in a technical product development environment

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field

  • Relevant professional certifications are advantageous

  • Expertise in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks CREO or NX) and PLM/PDM systems

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes

  • Experience with mechanical design analysis FEA and tolerance stack-ups

  • Proficiency in designing with various materials including metals plastics and composites

  • Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO UL CE FDA as applicable)

  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering calculations and analysis

  • Experience with test plan development verification and validation

  • Strong project management and documentation skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Professional communication skills required additional language skills are valued
