The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key accounts within Singapores Ethical Channel including public and private hospitals specialist clinics healthcare institutions and retail pharmacy chains. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships supporting formulary listing activities executing commercial plans and achieving sales objectives.
Working closely with cross-functional teams the Key Account Manager will identify growth opportunities execute account plans and deliver excellent customer service while contributing to the expansion of the companys derma skincare portfolio.
- Manage assigned hospital institutional specialist clinic and retail pharmacy accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers including pharmacists procurement teams dermatologists clinic staff and retail buyers.
- Develop and implement account plans to achieve sales and distribution targets.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers to identify growth opportunities.
- Support product listing and formulary submission activities within hospitals and healthcare institutions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to prepare documentation required for formulary applications and tenders.
- Monitor listing status contract renewals and customer requirements.
- Assist in institutional tender preparation and follow up on awarded contracts.
- Manage relationships with key retail pharmacy chains and independent pharmacies.
- Support product listing promotional execution and in-store initiatives.
- Ensure product availability merchandising compliance and execution of agreed promotional activities.
- Monitor sales performance and recommend actions to improve results.
- Achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Identify opportunities to expand product distribution and increase market penetration.
- Support new product launches through customer engagement and promotional activities.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide market insights to support business decision-making.
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and identify business opportunities.
- Deliver product presentations and commercial updates to healthcare professionals and pharmacy partners.
- Support educational meetings product training sessions and customer events as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing Medical Affairs Supply Chain Customer Service and Finance teams to ensure effective execution of business plans.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to address customer needs and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Share customer insights and market intelligence to support business planning.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts for assigned accounts.
- Monitor sales performance inventory levels and customer orders.
- Maintain CRM records and submit timely activity and sales reports.
- Track KPIs and recommend corrective actions where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing Life Sciences Pharmacy Biomedical Science or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of sales or key account management experience within the pharmaceutical healthcare medical device consumer healthcare or derma skincare industry.
- Experience managing hospital institutional specialist clinic or retail pharmacy accounts in Singapore is preferred.
- Exposure to formulary listing processes or institutional tenders is advantageous but not required.
- Experience working with dermatologists pharmacists or other healthcare professionals is beneficial.

This role offers a strong development pathway into Senior Key Account Manager or National Account Manager positions. The individual in this role will gain exposure to hospital formulary management institutional tenders retail pharmacy partnerships and cross-functional commercial projects while developing strategic account management capabilities.
