Electronics Design Sustaining Engineer

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Design sustain and troubleshoot electronics at the PCB board and sub system level to support KLA products throughout their lifecycle. This role requires hands-on debugging failure analysis and execution of engineering changes while collaborating with global cross functional teams and external partners to deliver reliable manufacturable solutions.

• Partner with external vendors to support engineering validation and turnkey manufacturing solutions
• Design sustain and troubleshoot printed circuit boards (PCBs) power supplies and electronic test fixtures
• Interpret and apply engineering requirements and specifications at the board and subsystem levels
• Perform failure analysis and rootcause investigations for analog digital and mixedsignal electronics
• Conduct handson PCBA debugging using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes logic analyzers DMMs etc.)
• Independently troubleshoot boardlevel and subsystem issues with moderate technical ownership
• Contribute to sustaining engineering activities including corrective actions ECO execution and manufacturability improvements
• Collaborate with global crossfunctional teams (systems software manufacturing service supply chain) to resolve technical issues
• Create and maintain engineering documentation including schematics ECOs test procedures and sustaining updates
• Communicate technical findings risks and project status to stakeholders and management

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
• 2 years of experience in electronics design sustaining engineering or boardlevel support roles
• Demonstrated handson experience debugging PCBAs and electronic subsystems
• Solid foundation in analog and digital circuit design principles
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a global crossfunctional environment
