Job Summary

Our client a leading quantitative trading firm is looking for a Low Latency C Software Engineer to join a small senior engineering team responsible for connecting the firms trading strategies to markets across the globe. Youll work end-to-end on the path from market data through to order execution supporting high-volume latency-critical trading across a large number of global exchanges.

This is deeply technical systems-level work. The firms infrastructure handles enormous volumes of real-time market data with no room for delay so engineers need a genuine understanding of whats happening at the hardware level memory caching and how the operating system behaves under load not just clean working code. Youll help turn research ideas into fast reliable production-grade systems that trade live working closely with the firms quant researchers.

Based in Singapore this role focuses on the firms presence and market connectivity across the APAC region working within a small senior and highly autonomous team.

  • Design build and maintain high-performance low latency C systems covering the full path from market data to order execution
  • Build and extend exchange connectivity across international markets
  • Take models from research prototypes to production-grade low latency code
  • Own performance work at the level of memory caching and system calls not just application logic
  • Investigate and resolve issues in live real-money trading systems
  • Work directly with a small team of senior engineers and researchers with genuine autonomy



Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of hands-on C experience in low latency performance-critical or systems-level environments
  • Strong grasp of low-level computing fundamentals - memory caching and operating system behaviour
  • Comfortable operating independently solving problems from first principles with minimal oversight
  • Linux/UNIX development experience
  • Relevant adjacent backgrounds include: exchange or market connectivity compilers operating systems kernel development FPGA/hardware design or high-performance computing
