Job Summary

Purpose / Overview
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSES Associate to join our team at an energy production company. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Health Safety Environmental and Social (HSES) programs across our projects sites operations and supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with company policies and safe work procedures as well as local state and federal regulations.
  2. Participate in policy review and implementation
  3. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSES standards and identify areas for improvement

  4. Conducting training sessions and workshops on HSES related topics for employees and contractors to increase awareness and promote a culture of safety.

  5. Support in development of company impact reports

  6. Participate in incident investigations and support the development of corrective and preventive actions.

  7. Maintaining and updating HSSE-related records reports and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  8. Actively provide support in establishment of  ISO 9001 management system 

  9. Coordinating with other departments to ensure compliance with HSES-related requirements such as grievance redress stakeholders engagement projects E&S screening safe work procedures and emergency response plans.

  10. Ensure that all necessary HSES permits and licenses


Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in OSH Environmental science or a relevant field
NEBOSH IGC certification
At least 4 years experience in a HSSE role in an energy production company.
Demonstrate knowledge of relevant regulations industry standards such as OSHA Act Environmental regulations SDGs IFC Standards and NEMSA Safety protocols
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible to travel to various project sites.
Member of a relevant professional body.
