Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) Hospital Ship West Africa
McNeill Marine is currently recruiting an experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) for a unique opportunity onboard a hospital ship supporting humanitarian operations in West Africa.
This is a 3-month contract with an immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance troubleshooting and repair of the vessels electrical electronic and automation systems while supporting the safe operation of the ship.
The client has a preference for candidates with passenger vessel experience although experienced ETOs from other vessel types with a strong technical background will also be considered.
Location: West Africa
Contract: 3 Months
Salary: USD 8883.75 per month

Requirements
Essential
STCW III/6 Electro-Technical Officer Certificate of Competency
Valid ENG1 (or equivalent seafarers medical)
STCW Basic Training
Crowd Management
Crisis Management & Human Behaviour
Security Awareness
Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (other than Fast Rescue Craft)
Advanced Fire Fighting
Medical First Aid
Strong electrical electronic and automation troubleshooting skills
Good spoken and written English
Desirable
Passenger vessel experience
Experience with electrical propulsion automation and power management systems
Vaccinations Required
Candidates must already hold or be willing to obtain:
Yellow Fever
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Typhoid
Tetanus
MMR (Measles Mumps & Rubella)
Diphtheria
