About Shift EV Egypt
We’re excited to announce that we have issued the first licenses ever for electrofitted EVs in Egypt. Industrial electrofitting is now officially fully regulated, with a clear and streamlined licensing process in Egypt. When we started Shift EV, one of our top priorities was helping policymakers build a rigorous process to guarantee the design safety and electrofitting reliability, while streamlining licensing for customers. Over the last year, we worked tirelessly with regulatory bodies on design certification, road safety testing, electrofitting factory audits, and a formal review of our factory output. With generous support by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Electricity and H.E. The Prime Minister of Egypt, the Traffic Authorities at the Ministry of Interior approved the licensing of our electrofitted EVs.
