Specialist Core Engineering (Thermodynamics) (fmx)

Qualifications:

Technical University Engineering Degree with a strong focus on thermal fluids and heat transfer
Preferably good background knowledge on HV-batteries
Preferably work experience in automotive with hands-on experience in designing testing and simulation of thermal systems for electrified powertrains
Additional knowledge in: Labview/1D simulation/Ansys Fluent & Discovery or similar is advantageous
Ability of analytical thinking and a hands-on approach
You enjoy working structured and independent in a multinational and -cultural working environment
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English German Language is preferred
Willingness to travel international

Responsibilities:

Responsibility for mechanical & thermal design with focus on system integration of thermal components in automotive assemblies
Be the Subject matter owner for cooling concepts and have the lead in customer projects/quotes to series readiness
Serve as the responsible point of contact for customer groups the Thermal Research Team and the Thermal Hub
(Experimental) investigation of heat transfer and fluid flow for thermoplastic components
Agil product development activities in Battery Thermal Management with insights into common water-glycol systems as well as advanced cooling systems
Creative prototyping activities for battery cooling components
Defining and creating internal design guidelines for thermal components ready for series application
Continuously improve and standardize design & calculation tools for thermal fluids parts which accelerate product development activities in costumer projects
Interaction with internal and external partners for Design Verification Plan (DVP) Quality and DFMEAs
Analyze customers specifications to support quotes and interpret clarity and analyze system and customer specifications
Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFMA) in projects
