Job Summary

Psychiatric nurse is responsible for providing care to patients and their families in relation to their mental and medical health.

Duties and responsibilities:

Collaborating with the patient and multidisciplinary team on psychiatric intervention plans for patients.

Building relationships with patients and their families to understand the holistic needs whilst maintaining trust with the patient.

Provide evidence-based individual therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy for depression and anxiety.

Administering medication where required.

Monitoring patients adherence to any non-medical treatment plans provided.

Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and family.

Maintain strict confidentiality.

Attend training to acquire further knowledge.

Collect and record data on patient behavior health journeys acting on any alterations needed in treatment plans.

Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features for patients.

Support patients in the management of their emotions i.e using de-escalation techniques.

Collaborate communicate and assist with the training of clients patients parents and staff.

Qualifications :

Degree in mental health / behavioural health or equivalent with 5 Years post qualification experience

Currently licensed as a mental health nurse or equivalent

  • Excellent IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems 

  • Fluency in English and Ukraine

Essential Capabilities: 

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under high-stress work conditions 

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplined team with clinical and non-clinical personnel
