The opportunity
This is a key position supporting the Finance Business Operation team. The Intermediation Accountant willbe responsible forperforming Clearing & Settlement activities formultipleWorldline locations following Standard Accounting Policies and Procedures. AsanIntermediation Accountant you will be solvingreal businessproblems. You will use your accounting educationandreconciliationsexperienceto provideaccuratedata for your company data that will be used in decision-making.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Build strong relationships with the team from theallocatedcountry(both from Romania and locally)
Youperform dailyreconciliation ofGLintermediationaccounts;clearing activityin SAP Nessie for all the transactional days credit card organization (VISA MasterCard)etc adjustments and other settlement transaction functions
Depending on theallocatedcountry you perform daily reconciliation of GL intermediation accountsin TLM; clearing activityin TLM reconciliation tool
You clarify and track unexplained general ledger entries made by third party processors various departments branches or staff
Youare responsible forreconciling all summary sheets/general ledgersimpactedby the various transactional entries coming from the Acquiring activities
Youmaintainand enhance VBA based Excel files tofacilitatereconciliation activities
Performing month/quarterly/annual closure activitiesin accordance withagreed group/localtimelines
Youare responsible formaintainingreporting checks files and perform continuous improvement
You collaboratewithother departments asrequired
Youuse your experience and background tocome up withoptimization ideas forfurther enhancing our processes
Who are we looking for
Educational background in Economics Accounting or Finance
3 year of professional experience in Finance (General Ledger Investmentfundsor Banking)
Relevant experience in a competence center environment would be a plus
Knowledge of working in SAP and MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint etc.) any other system is a plus
Advance level of Englishadditionallanguage would be a plus
Knowledge of VBA/Excel Macro would be a plus
High capacity to work under pressure and to respect deadlines
