General Manager R&D (all genders)

In this role you will oversee all operational financial and organizational aspects of our Romanian entity while driving collaboration transparency and sustainable growth.

• Take full operational organizational financial and legal responsibility for our Romanian subsidiary
• Represent the company towards local authorities banks and external partners and ensure compliance with labor tax and corporate regulations
• Own and manage the site budget including forecasting cost control payroll oversight and close alignment with HQ Finance
• Lead coach and develop our local R&D organization fostering engagement accountability and long-term talent retention
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and HQ stakeholders to attract hire and onboard top engineering talent
• Build scalable team structures and leadership capabilities aligned with business objectives
• Coordinate local R&D activities and ensure alignment with product roadmaps priorities resources and delivery expectations
• Promote transparency by proactively communicating progress risks dependencies and capacity planning
• Cultivate a collaborative trust-based and performance-oriented engineering culture
• Strengthen collaboration between Engineering Product Management and headquarters while identifying and removing organizational bottlenecks

• Several years of leadership experience within a software development technology or R&D environment
• Proven track record of managing teams budgets and operational processes
• Experience working within international organizations and collaborating across headquarters and subsidiary structures
• Solid understanding of modern software development environments and agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and operational excellence
• Strong communication stakeholder management and organizational skills
• High level of ownership sound decision-making abilities and a pragmatic solution-oriented mindset
• Empathetic and motivating leadership style combined with the confidence to challenge teams and stakeholders constructively
• Ability to remain calm and focused in dynamic and fast-paced environments
