Job Summary

Bring your energy to Aggreko as aBusiness Development Manager Romania & SEE region.

Youll be responsible for driving Aggrekos growth by developing new business opportunities expanding market presence and building strong customer relationships across assigned markets.

This role combines strategic business development with project and opportunity management focusing on generating future revenue through new customer acquisition market expansion and the development of long-term commercial partnerships.

The successful candidate will identify emerging market trends create market entry strategies coordinate internal resources and ensure the successful development of opportunities from qualification through handover or closing.

What youll do:

  • Identify New Business Opportunities

    Prospect and evaluate new customers markets industries and applications to generate future revenue growth.

  • Develop Market Entry Strategies

    Create and execute plans to penetrate new sectors territories and customer segments.

  • Build Strategic Relationships

    Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders decision-makers and executive-level contacts.

  • Drive Customer Acquisition & Growth

    Develop new business while expanding opportunities within existing customers and strategic accounts.

  • Manage Commercial Opportunities

    Qualify develop and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline to successful closure or handover.

  • Prepare Business Cases & Proposals

    Develop compelling commercial offers tenders presentations and value propositions aligned with customer needs.

  • Monitor Market & Competitive Intelligence

    Track market trends competitor activities customer needs and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.

  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Resources

    Work closely with Sales Operations Engineering Finance Marketing and Service teams to secure and execute opportunities.

  • Manage Project & Opportunity Profitability

    Maintain accountability for opportunity-level P&L margins budgets and commercial performance.

  • Support Marketing & Go-to-Market Activities

    Collaborate on marketing initiatives campaigns and market positioning strategies to increase market visibility.

  • Maintain Forecasting & CRM Accuracy

    Ensure accurate pipeline management sales forecasting reporting and customer data management.

  • Deliver Revenue & Market Growth Targets

    Achieve agreed business development objectives revenue goals market penetration targets and strategic growth plans.

What Were Looking For:
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Marketing Economics or a related discipline.

  • 510 years of experience in Business Development Strategic Sales Commercial Management or related roles.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding business development and sales targets.

  • Demonstrated success in developing new markets acquiring new customers and building long-term business relationships.

  • Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles and developing commercial proposals.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to prepare and present compelling business cases.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience within the energy power generation oil & gas industrial equipment utilities infrastructure construction or related sectors.

  • Experience working with direct and indirect sales channels distributors or partner networks.

  • Product marketing experience would be considered an advantage.

  • Experience managing commercial projects and using project management methodologies and tools.

  • Exposure to P&L management and opportunity profitability analysis.

Technical & Language Skills
  • Advanced English language skills both written and verbal.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel PowerPoint and Project.

  • Valid Category B driving licence.

Working Conditions
  • Home-based or office-based depending on location.

  • Frequent travel within the country and internationally as business needs require.

  • Ability to work under time pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Flexibility to accommodate occasional extended working hours during critical projects or commercial activities.
