Workshop Safety Officer

ISS International SpA Qatar Branch is looking for a Workshop Safety Officer for a Fertilizer Project in Qatar - Mesaieed.

Educational Qualification:

NEBOCSH Diploma with valid NEBOSH ( IGC) Certificate or Diploma in industrial

safety engineering from recognized institute/University.

Proficiency in English language (Read write & speak).

Proficiency in Computer skill.

Experience:

10 to 15 years experience in Electrical welding instrument & machine shop safety

(Machine safety) in GCC within Fertilizer / Petrochemical or manufacturing sectors companies.

Key Technical Expertise:

Machine Guarding: Ensuring all equipment has appropriate physical barriers

(fixed interlocked or adjustable) to prevent contact with moving parts.

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO): Managing the energy isolation procedures required during

maintenance or repair of heavy machinery to prevent accidental startup.

Point-of-Operation Safety: Knowledge of specific hazards related to cutting

shearing or shaping materials.

PPE Management: Oversight of specialized protective gear like impact-resistant

eye protection and ensuring workers avoid loose clothing or jewelry that could snag

in rotating parts.
