Training Cell Team Leader
Job Summary
The Training Cell Team Leader reports to the Forward Maintenance Manager and is Responsible for designing and updating the toolsets that both identify training requirements and record completed training.
The requirement of this role is to liaise and support maintenance personnel and managers at all levels to navigate and succeed in utilising all available media and training routes to be able to demonstrate compliance and competency. This role will lead the training cell providing confidence to the Part 145 manager that his personnel are competent and current to carry out maintenance tasks.
- Updating training materials to reflect changes to systems developments and upgrades and to meet developing or changing requirements as directed by the Maintenance Training Team Lead
- In conjunction with the Lead Trainer ensure that training materials conform to the appropriate configuration and standards
- Establishing and maintaining training schedules and delivery programmes to meet the needs and requirements as directed by the Maintenance Training Team Lead
- Supporting the development of training material via the Maintenance Training Lead for bespoke or new training requirements either by outsourcing or producing training courses
- Delivery of Induction Training (As required) to all employees in accordance with the Induction Plan. Other deliverables would include Continuation training Manual Handling and Working at Height
- Delivery of SHE briefings in conjunction with the on-site SHE co-ordinator
- Completion of Training records to ensure Competency and Currency of Maintenance Personnel to provide evidence to the compliant authority
- Liaising with outside agencies to arrange training and refresher training
- Canvassing feedback reports from course attendees review trends and respond accordingly
- Delivery of IMS Training (As required)
- Performance indicators - Deliver and record training to undertake appropriate assessments to ensure that each employee develops the skills and is able to demonstrate the ability to perform the activities and tasks required in the domain of maintenance
- Procedure/standards - Ensure compliance with the Regulatory Framework its associated procedures and standards and any other Company procedures and standards as applicable. At this level would be expected to agree and implement change as required
- Safety Management System - Understanding of the application of human factors error management risk management and safety assurance
- Continuing Airworthiness Assurance (Quality) - Management and application of the CAA system within Airworthiness Records including supporting audits responding to findings in a timely manner and providing relevant information into the appropriate reviews
- Statutory/Regulatory & Legislative requirements Able to demonstrate a detailed understanding and application of the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework e.g. EASA and ensure any changes are implemented; Ensure compliance with all other requirements e.g. ITAR/EaPW
- Contractual Requirements Ensure compliance with all applicable contractual requirements; Support contract reviews and ensure communication of any changes into Airworthiness Records activities as appropriate
- Requires general Typhoon aircraft knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area and knowledge of other trade areas. Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for continuous improvement and its application

Required Skills:
Comply with the latest issue of the BAE SYSTEMS Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and general awareness of the defence logistics framework and associated procedures in relation to the movement of all logistics items Receive all items checking that all required documentation is present and correct and that the packaging is intact. Check that part numbers on documentation matches that marked on the part or parts packaging Quarantine any non-conforming items for appropriate investigation action. Record receipts using the electronic stock accounting systems and procedures currently in operation Place stores and parts demands as required on IMS Maintain the preservation of materials and equipment whilst in storage or transit Ensure the storage handling and movement of hazardous materials is carried out as defined within hazard data sheets and mandated procedures Pick pack and deliver parts requests to the customer checking the right parts are delivered to the right place at the right time safely including line side replenishment Coordination of any Tasking requests that require forklift/vehicle support providing that support and liaising with the requestor to ensure any access or support issues are addressed prior to the activity Coordination of Forward Delivery activities ensuring the QEAF members of staff know where to deliver to and where to collect from Protect any materials for dispatch against transit damage Identify and report inabilities of supply items to all relevant teams Be able to coordinate and assist in the preparation of detachment pack ups Assist in programmed/adhoc Stock Taking activities Performing and understanding investigation activities on IMS to assist in and resolve any stock discrepancies Deliver a Direct Line Feed (DLF) service to Depth and Forward supplying and replenishing all consumable requirements including POL. Ensure the DLF Forward and Depth visit schedule is adhered to preventing any consumable racks or POL in-use lockers from reaching nil stock Maintain the physical storage issue and receipt into and out of stock of all POL items Conduct Warehouse husbandry and building oversite checks Carry out shift work as required in rotation Mentoring QEAF Team members of the Team in effective and safe Supply Chain Operations including monitoring of IMS inputs by the QEAF
