TIG WELDERS
Job Summary
- Perform GTAW and SMAW welding on Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel materials.
- Read and interpret welding drawings isometrics WPS and job specifications.
- Prepare joints through cutting grinding beveling cleaning and proper alignment.
- Carry out root fill and cap welding according to approved procedures.
- Inspect completed welds and correct defects such as porosity cracks and undercut.
- Maintain welding machines tools electrodes and consumables in good condition.
- Follow permit-to-work PPE fire prevention and site safety requirements.
- Coordinate with fitters supervisors and quality inspectors during welding activities.
- ITI trade certificate or recognized welding qualification.
- Minimum 35 years of GTAW and SMAW welding experience.
- Proven experience welding Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel pipes/components.
- Valid welder qualification certificate for the required process and material.
- Ability to weld in different positions including 2G 5G and 6G.
- Knowledge of WPS welding symbols joint preparation and consumable selection.
- Ability to pass the clients welding trade test and NDT inspection.
- Oil and Gas industrial shutdown or fabrication
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
