Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Telecom Technician to install maintain troubleshoot and repair telecommunications systems and equipment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in telecom installations cabling testing and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Install configure test and maintain telecom equipment and systems.
Perform installation and termination of telecom cables including fiber optic and copper cables.
Conduct cable testing fault identification and troubleshooting.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of telecom networks and equipment.
Read and interpret telecom drawings layouts and technical documentation.
Assist with fiber optic splicing testing and troubleshooting.
Ensure proper installation and labeling of cables equipment and network components.
Identify and resolve connectivity signal and equipment-related issues.
Follow safety procedures and ensure work is completed according to project standards.
Prepare basic maintenance and installation reports.
Coordinate with engineers supervisors and other technical teams during installation and maintenance activities.

Requirements

Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in Telecommunications Electronics Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2–5 years of hands-on experience as a Telecom Technician or in a similar role.
Experience in telecom cabling fiber optics structured cabling and network infrastructure.
Knowledge of fiber optic splicing and testing is preferred.
Ability to use basic telecom testing and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and cabling layouts.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work on-site and in outdoor/project environments.
Qatar/GCC telecom project experience will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills
