The Role

HSBCsCorporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) International Mid-Market (IMM)team inQataris looking for a high-performingRelationship Directorto manage and grow a portfolio of internationally minded Corporates and with revenues from $100m to over $2bn.

Youll act as a trusted advisor to clients with cross-border ambitions connecting them to HSBCs international network and full suite of corporate banking solutions.

In this role youll be responsible for:

• Growing and deepening client relationships
• Expand existing IMM relationships and originate new-to-bank opportunities aligned to HSBCs international strategy.
• Be a strategic advisor
• Provide consultative insights to help clients navigate complex cross-border and global market dynamics.
• Own the client experience
• Deliver best-in-class service and act as a senior escalation point for client needs.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth
• Partner with product specialists (e.g. Treasury & Cash Management Trade FX Lending/Debt solutions) and colleagues across HSBCs global network to increase HSBCs share of the clients global wallet.
• Lead credit and risk discipline
• Credit assessment deal structuring approvals support and ongoing monitoring across the portfolio.
• Manage operational regulatory and financial crime risk
• Ensure adherence to internal controls policies and external regulations.
• Build networks and market profile
• Strengthen internal connectivity and enhance HSBCs presence in the local business community and with professional intermediaries.

What youll need (minimum requirements)

• Bachelors degree is required to obtain a work permit.
• 10 years experience in Corporate/Commercial Banking or Financial Services with relationship management accountability.
• Strong knowledge of corporate banking products: cash management trade FX lending/structured solutions.
• Solid credit and lending experience including complex facilities and risk assessment.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate across product and risk teams.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
• Client-centric mindset commercial acumen and ability to deliver in a fast-moving environment.
