SENIOR ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Job Summary
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of elevators escalators and related equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical mechanical electronic and control-system faults.
- Inspect motors controllers brakes door systems safety devices ropes and travelling cables.
- Attend breakdown calls and restore equipment safely within the required response time.
- Carry out testing adjustment repair and replacement of defective components.
- Lead junior technicians and ensure maintenance work complies with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain service reports maintenance records fault histories and spare-parts details.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Coordinate with clients supervisors and technical teams regarding equipment condition and repair requirements.
- Support emergency rescue operations and participate in standby or on-call duties when required
- Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical Electronics Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in elevator and escalator maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of elevator electrical circuits control panels motors drives brakes and door systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Experience in troubleshooting different elevator brands and control systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance breakdown repair testing and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of elevator safety procedures and emergency rescue operations.
- Good leadership reporting communication and problem-solving skills.
- GCC or Qatar experience is preferred.
- Immediate availability with a valid QID is preferred.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
