Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed 2D drawings for Roads and Highways projects using AutoCAD
- Convert engineering notes specifications rough sketches and design information into professional engineering drawings in accordance with established drafting standards and procedures.
- Produce engineering deliverables including general arrangement drawings layout plans profiles cross sections grading plans construction drawings structural details and other project documentation.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers to develop review and finalize design drawings for assigned projects.
- Perform dimensional and routine engineering calculations required for drawing preparation and verify the accuracy of layouts and drawings making revisions as necessary.
- Develop and maintain accurate 2D and 3D road models incorporating design updates and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Interpret and apply technical manuals engineering standards supplier/manufacturer drawings and applicable codes to ensure compliance with project and company requirements.
- Ensure all drawings and models comply with CAD standards and ISO 19650 workflows and approval processes.
- Maintain drawing files and documentation in accordance with project document control procedures using ProjectWise and/or ACC Navigator.
- Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams to support the timely delivery of project milestones.
- Perform other drafting and design-related responsibilities as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Roads and Highways design drafting
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Civil 3D Navisworks and ProjectWise and/or ACC Navigator.
- Strong understanding of Roads and Highways design principles drafting standards and engineering drawing preparation.
- Proven ability to develop accurate 2D drawings for road and highway infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with engineering standards applicable codes and ISO 19650 information management requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings technical specifications and supplier/manufacturer documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work within established deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and project teams
