Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION: WELDING QC INSPECTOR The proposed Welding QC Inspectors shall meet as a minimum the following requirements: a) QC welding inspectors shall be certified to CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 or AWS b) Basic engineering degree or diploma and Eight (8) years of working experience in the Oil and gas industry of which Six (6) years must be in the Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas Pipelines Projects c) Verifying all Contractor and subcontractor equipment is calibrated and daily / per shift checks are conducted as per approved project procedures. d) Monitoring all welding parameters during qualification and production to ensure compliance with Project WPS’s. e) Reviewing ITPs f) Preparing RFIs as per ITPs g) Preparing NDT requests and witnessing NDT activities as required. h) Final sentencing of production joints with Company Inspectors in accordance with approved Project pipeline Acceptance Criteria. i) j) Pipe Identification and Tally sheets. Compiling Qualification NDT reports and manufacturing records for the MDR. k) A deep understanding of QA/QC related regulations data sheet codes and standards such as: AWS ASME BS EN API ASTM DNV. l) Level II NDT (RT UT MPT PT) m) CRA Pipelines welding experience. (Desirable) n) Desirable experience on pipelines Mechanize / Automatic Welding o) Familiar with SMAW GTAW GMAW PIN BRAZING Welding process. p) Knowledge of welding datalogger parameter recording.
