About the role

Our client a leading engineering consultancy based in Qatar is seeking an experienced Project Director Fit-Out to oversee the full delivery cycle of high-end interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be based in Doha and must currently hold a valid Qatar residency. This is a senior leadership role with direct accountability to executive management and key client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project delivery across high-value fit-out schemes commercial hospitality mixed-use and luxury residential

Define project governance frameworks: scope schedule budget risk and quality baselines

Act as primary interface between client design consultants contractors and regulatory authorities

Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams (PMs site managers engineers coordinators)

Drive value engineering initiatives while maintaining design intent and client expectations

Ensure compliance with Qatar construction codes authorities and QCDD requirements

Report project performance through KPIs dashboards and executive steering committees

Oversee procurement vendor selection and contract administration (FIDIC / bespoke)

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Architecture or a related discipline (Masters preferred)

20 years of progressive project management experience with at least 5 years in a Director / Programme Director capacity

Demonstrable fit-out project experience in Qatar or the GCC region (retail hospitality F&B corporate interiors)

Strong commercial acumen P&L awareness contract negotiation and cost control

Familiarity with Qatar regulatory and Ashghal / MMUP approval processes

Proficiency in project controls tools (Primavera P6 MS Project or equivalent)

PMP MRICS or CIOB certification is an advantage

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English (Arabic is a plus)

Currently residing in Qatar with a transferable visa / NOC
